Thinking of buying this and selling my early straight gto ,any one know anything about this car ?. I am a little worried about the fact of it being repaired and sitting about so long surely you would get on and finish it ?

Lots of people will have seen it by now, and we'd all buy it if it was cheap!

My guess is that it'll go for about 17k.

We could turn this into an almost-chistmas guess the price. Pound a ticket, nearest gets the pot.
(that's a joke! Don't ban me for organising an unauthorised raffle!)

we would be better clubbing together and buying it collectively for parts lol

No need for a raffle, I think you've nailed it at 17k.

something does not seem right to me he has other vehicles for sale so seems like a dealer but why not finish the car rather than leaving it for 6 years!! especially being so close to getting it finished cant help thinking the car may have other issues also the ad says it starts and moves but not on the road!!!

I think he is saying that its mobile, but without bled brakes, mot, and tax it isn't roadworthy

I think that's the trouble right there 'you have to read between the lines' which could be an expensive assumption!

could have been tied up in an existing financing issue when it was bought from the insurer, hence the 6 year leave time?

At that age it should be a 6 speed.

Anyone thinking about it seriously? I've asked about documents/history and what actually needs done. Very vague response only saying it has log book and needs a week of work doing little jobs.
Shame as I'm very tempted to get a road car now my one is erm not road legal! Plus many parts I've removed from my M400 would probably finish it off nicely.

Had similar thoughts & did bid but l think 12k is enough to pay for an unfinished Cat D car with unknown issues to resolve.

1hr to go, I'd have thought it has to be worth 13-14K as a punt, but the vagueness of the seller would put me off. Shame an owner couldn't have had a look for you guys and checked it over.
