Swissvax offer some fabulous polishes and cleaning materials, have a look on line. I'm sure Paddy will be along just now , he will be able to make you some good suggestions.

For Silver/Grey I've always just used Autoglym Super Resin Polish and then Collinite 476s wax. Cheap, long lasting protection and easy to apply for an amateur wink

I'm interested to hear opinions too.
There's so many it's all a bit confusing.

I use Demon snow foam with PA lance. Then Maguires ultimate or Autoglym deep shine.

I useValet Pro snow foam and stuff I put in the hot water, then Race glaze 55 for polish and pre polish.

Spoiled for choice really for your P&J smile

No need for the dear stuff Meguires or Autoglym will suffice on a silver car.
I've had a silver car and it's not hard to maintain unlike other colours.

I have found Collinite 845 Insulator Wax protects longer and is much easier to use than Collinite 476.

Two and a half hours with no pics, you'll be banned before long.
I am sure Paddy will be along soon to really explain it all but you really want to make sure the base is at its best before worrying about which protection to use.
Wash, clay etc are required to get to the beauty that lies beneath most cars surfaces.

I also have a meteorite silver V8v so hope this may help as recently detailed mine after quite a bit of research :
first step after a very good wash : Meguiars Quick clay and Meguiars ultimate detail spray as the lubricant, and;
Followed by : Chemical Guys blacklight wax (leave a decent time to cure and apply two coats for real pop on the gloss, and;
Followed by : Chemical Guys hybrid V7 sealant and detailer

I sourced via cleanyourcar.co.uk and found them excellent to deal with for price and delivery service (I'm not associated with them nor am I a pro valet / detailer but I am very fussy about detailing / cleaning my pride and joy)

really impressed with the results

Hope this helps and like the other posters you need to get the photos up
thanks
Andy
