I saw that too, I'd love to see the dyne rolleyes. I was looking at a really nice Cerb on Ebay, read great until I realised they were selling it!

You are dead right. I went to visit him once to look at a fire damaged Cerb. Don't bother!

What a knobber Glen is, "the best engine tvr made " well considering it's not actually a tvr made unit, and discounting the actual v8 they did make in the ajp, and lets not start on what HC actually stands for ....
Where's his cock of a mate that normally comes on here spouting off that works for him? not seen him for a bit.

I asked a mate to ask (on ebay) if there was a dyno print out (I'm not registered with ebay or would have asked myself). He's had an email reply which states 'that BHP is taken from the TVR spec book'

Can anyone point me in the direction of the TVR spec book please? I'd always understood that TVR's quoted bhp figures for the 500 were 340 without cat and 320 with. (which we all know were a trifle optimistic wink )

TIA,

Chilli

Excuse my ignorance, but I was under the impression that "HC" stood for "high lift cam" and the 400 hc were fitted with pocketed pistons and the 500 cam (Simon, is that right?) thus lowering the compression.
If a so called salvage expert said it was raining, I would look out of the window (if you catch my drift)

I agree with all that's been said - and those burnt red and black Tuscan seats at something like £700 is laughable. BUT someone must be buying the gear and they have 100% positive feedback on ebay!! Go figure

...or you could buy the whole car (what's left of it) for £6,250. Engine alone or complete heavily damaged car are both advertised on ebay as separate auction items.
