Do you think your Porsche is exciting?

Might be a bit of an incendiary question, but for those Porsche owners out there, do you classify your car as exciting?
I've had my 996 C4S since February and have generally been very happy with it. It is quick, feels nice to drive, covers long distances with ease and looks great. But, and here is the rub, it doesnt really feel exciting to me. It's not what I would call a visceral car.
Don't get me wrong, it is the best car I have ever owned. But I think I had more fun in my S2000 even though I know it was a lesser car whichever way you measure it. Perhaps it was because I could really rag that thing, screaming the vtec unit up to 9000rpm - it felt alive! The 911 doesnt really seem to give me the same feeling.
Am I at the point of realising that my dream car (well at least attainable dream car) is actually not what I am after?

Feeling excited that I'm now in the market for a 997 GT3.
There's the thing tough - it's horses for courses.
Many love the turbo/C4S or whatever flavour it is, others don't.
There's no right or wrong.
And if I'm really honest, I was more excited when I was in my Exige than in the Spyder or turbo.
Had my 996 C2 manual Coupe for 4.5yrs now.
Is it exciting? Guess it's not the same as a Caterfield or even a Ferrari or a GT3 but it is a great car to drive hard, keeps me on my toes more than any other car I have owned. When driven sedately it is a nice car to be in, even for hours on end.
Do I look back after walking away, yes I do. Did I do that with my Mk5 Golf GTi or my 330D? No I didn't!

Great responses and seems there are some similar feelings out there.
It is my only car, but I only use it at the weekends as I walk to the station and commute to London by train. I've covered 5,000 miles since I bought it at the beginning of February.
Zyp - Interestingly enough, an Exige was something that I was thinking about next as I dont need a practical car (no kids, no car commute, etc.. ). Would be interested in hearing why you went from an Exige to a 911 (and then to a Spyder).
Problem is, I'm a massive fan of the marque having owned a 924 and 968 before.
Perhaps I need to save some more pennies and go for the GT3? Although obviously easier said than done.

7 months in (gen2 S), daily driver, still dont use the radio, always look back when I park it and always end up talking to it after a great drive up in the Brecon Beacons/black mountains. Pathetic really.
As a complete ownership experience it's awesome, perhaps there are smaller, slower, lighter more exciting cars to drive on the roads (can feel hamstrung, it's still a ridiculously fast car and we do have speed limits) but none that I've always wanted.
So yes, I find my Porsche certainly is exciting.
