Guys,

I'm doing what is effectively a house clearance in the US before renovating, and I've come across a pretty substantial amount of Warhammer gear.
Not knowing anything about it I took it all (there's a car full of this stuff to give you some idea) to a Games Workshop and he reckons there's quite a few thousand been spent.
Thankfully the chap there took the time to itemise a large chunk of it so we know what we've got when it comes to selling, but I've found a ton more since that we need to go over. I'm not up on the terminology but there's full sets - the guy basically walked into the store and bought the lot it seems. There's a bunch of different stuff (hobbit, island of blood, 40k, vampires or something - I forget the rest).

There's some metal ones but the bulk are plastic, there's probably a hundred or two of the sprues (some complete some with bits missing), another bag full of bits from sprues, a few complete sets that are brand new untouched, a bunch of work in progress and various individual bits, limited edition stuff and so on.

Anyway, the questions:

1) I don't really want to upset forums by joining purely to sell stuff (unless it's allowed of course), so where's best to sell this kind of thing? Do enthusiasts buy on ebay and the like?
2) Is it worth trying to offload it all in one lot or breaking it up into several bundles (bearing in mind there's different collections or whatever they're called)?
3) How on earth do I go about pricing the stuff that's from incomplete sets or work in progress type stuff?
4) Is there demand for this stuff in the UK? Bringing it back isn't a problem if it's easier to sell over here.

Happy to show you guys what's there when I get back if anyone's curious (not trying to sell on here or anything, but I know there's a few PHers into this stuff and it damn near made the guy at GW's day when I took it all in).

I would say e-bay is your best bet, always a huge amount of folk looking for cheap GW stuff.

I sell a fair amount of painted armies and usually always get a bidder.

Trick is to not be greedy, sell at about say1/3rd off RRP and see where it goes, metal models go for more (long story) and certain factions will be more popular than others, Empire - good, Tomb Kings - Not so much.

Sell in spate bundle lots of specific forces etc, i.e. group Empire, Dwarf, Space Marine, Eldar etc, if it s Fantasy or 40,000 stuff.

You should get rid of most of it smile

If a lot of it is still boxed would an independent model shop or business buy them off you in a job lot? May be less hassle than dealing with lots of buyers purchasing a couple of bits at a time.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Some of it's original boxed, but most of it is in large storage boxes.

Apparently there's a shop not too far away from us that might be interested in buying it, I'll see what they offer and compare with ebay prices.
