Offered a V8 Engine

Morning Fellow Wedgers....

I've been offered a 3.5 v8 out of a rover SD1. Its comp is 10.25-1, has a flywheel, gearbox and exhausts with it. I have 2 questions...

1) how different is it from my 390se engine as a donor
2) how much is it worth and should i built a new car with it!

I know of a low mileage (48K) 3.5 (9.75:1)with stage two heads and 270 Kent Cam ( heads and cam done 1000 miles)complete with ancillaries that is available now. PM me.
Standard 350 engines vary on fleabay from 100 upwards. Think you would want a 9.75:1 compression though.

By the way its out of a 1988 tvr 350i so its all there ready for a swap
