Mega cheap trackday car!!

Hey guys, I have a Toyota Supra Mk4 in the garage which been doing up over the space of a year or so but in between just bought this Megane 2.0 16v Coupe as a cheap trackday project!!
Sunroof leaks so will be taken out and replaced with a pop riveted alu plate and needs a new exhaust, so suspension and brake refresh and interior strip out and voila.... a not bad trackday car that is quite nippy and very analogue with no driver aids other than ABS.
For the grand total of .....
£250!!
Pajero is my off road exploring car with 3" lift, snorkel etc etc, and Supra pics will be posted when it is finished!

I think you are bob on with that one. I really don't think it matters that much what car you take on a track day.
Oh here's a tip don't start modifying unless you have good self control it can get out of hand very quickly.
This was meant to be a £500 bit of fun now it's a fully prepped race car built to run in the Nippon and modern classics. I daren't attempt to add up what it cost

Thing is I race 125 gearbox karts and have just bought a newer motorbike too, so really need to be sensible!!, but I know what i`m like and think you may be right! I have been eyeing up Maxi Megane rally car wide arch kits and ITB throttle bodies and compomotive mo`s in white so i really need to have a word with myself lol!!
I just love the slightly older stuff as i drive modern cars all day every day and they just do not float my boat, they seem all so detached from steering feel etc plus i couldnt afford to have all my toys if I went for something expensive! i tend to spend probably just as much but spread out so it never feels as painful!

About £400 i think. Yes a bit costly all the indys seem about the same price.I reckon they have the job down to about 2 hours now.
Best thing is to get the water pump,can phase sensor and auxilary belts done at the same time.
