Is a Focus facelift imminent?
Discussion
A facelift does appear to be on the cards for early 2014 - see spy shot below. I faced this same conundrum in September but bought an ST-2 anyway as the saving off list price was huge. Also, the current Focus ST already has a form of the new Ford family front nose so I wouldn't expect it to change drastically.
Facelift appears to be in the works:

Thinking of getting myself a new Focus ST2 and was wondering when the next facelift is due? I'm particularly interested in any forthcoming upgrade to the stereo/sat nav display. Thanks.
Yes Focus is due a facelift, late 2014 I think. I don't think SYNC will change much as it's just a facelift and not a new model.I expect ST will remain at the current 2013.75 MY alongside the new Focus when it comes out as ST traditional follows a few months later.
Mmmm...thanks for the replies. I was hoping we'd be getting the US upgrades a bit sooner than that. They look rather good.

Some good deals on drive the deal for the current one..
Yup 15-20% seems to be the target. If I didn't want sat nav I wouldn't have started this post as everything else seems like a minor change. However, the new nav looks so much better than the old one I think it's worth waiting for.macajc88 said:
I hope an RS is on the way!
I would expect the standard Focus to go along the lines of the Focus electric front nose:

Maybe with narrower headlights similar to the Fiesta
Was at ford training a couple of weeks ago RS is in the feasible stages. Got info out of one of the techs that it had multi diffs and close to 380 bhp I would expect the standard Focus to go along the lines of the Focus electric front nose:

Should be fun

Focus facelift due end 2014. RS is on the cards and will be 4wd.
The RS so won't be 4wd - it will be to heavy and too costly. The test mules of the new RS are running 4wd, but they did that with the MK2 RS aswell and the 4wd was dropped.
Have it on good authority from a ford tuning company it won't be 4wd; but will run a special diff and an upgraded version of the electronic braking system currently on the current ST to help contain the 330bhp ecoboost engine.
But Will be 5 door though.

It could wear almost any badge from Nissan, Mazda, Lexus, Kia... After the Focus Mk1's amazing design - which has stood the design test-of-time very well imo - I'm starting to find most modern cars very bland and very boring. And at all levels - the thread on Ferrari desirability the other day made me realise that I've not actually lusted after one since the 355. I'm sure they're very capable and great cars, but I wanted a 355 like nothing else.
