Best way to collect car?es
Discussion
I've had good quotes and good service from this lot before: http://www.shiply.com/vehicle-delivery/
If you don't mind me asking whats the cost of the purchase and what sort of car are you picking up?
You can rent beaver tail recovery vehicles. Or rent a trailer and a van/car with towbar somewhere near you.
Ask a friend.
I know someone who picks up cars on trade plates and insurance anywhere in the uk and delivers them, think he is known as a vehicle mover, Cost me about £250 to use him once, so dependent on price of the car that could be nothing, or could be a fortune

Thanks all. Driving is about 4.5 hours away. I have had a quote of £230+vat+fuel to use a transport company if drive it or £470+vat to trailered.
The car is a BMW 6 Series convertible and the dealer is literally in the middle of nowhere. I think the train is going to be the best bet as surprisingly I can get a ticket for £23 (a bargain compared to the normal price of £55 just to get to London and shows what a con it is) and then a taxi ride/dealer the other end.
Shame as I don't have the spare time to do it but appears to be a no brainer compared to transport cost.
