Sam,
Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, but i clicked on "click here" and waited 'till it said DONE...nothing. Then I clicked on PLAY and, again, waited untill it said "DONE" and....nothing!

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? Martin.

PS - say hello to the lovely Leean for me.

Sam - haven't looked yet as vid now downloading. Did you lose the glass? Mine did the same at VMAX when turned in. It's not expensive, just visit your nearest Rover dealer.

Don't worry I'm sure you're not being thick, is it not working??? I'll have a check. Let me get back to you...

...and I'll say hi to Leean when I see her!

Sam

Martin I've just checked, I think you'll need to right click and 'save as' to download it. Streaming often is a little temperamental.

Sounds like insulating tape might be an idea next time

What spec was that Porsche 993, it was putting some reasonable ground on you?

I was told it was derestrictor's turbo. His escape was however aided by my poor driving, I fluffed 3rd-4th (or 4th-5th). Nevertheless it was a fast beastie.

As regards the mirror -lesson learned!

Mine has been 'breathed on' somewhat and puts out 490 BHP.

490bhp 933TT, that would go a fair way to explaining it; my fluffed gearchange or not!!!!

Wow thats some serious power. Wonder what it started at. Surprised he didn't put a lot more ground on you with that!

I had a Roock RST530 which is basically a 993TT with full GT2 rose jointed suspension, bodykit and 530bhp. It was a very subtle yellow!!

Anyway, difficult to compare given that it was a couple of years ago. The Roock was seriuosly quick, helped by much taller gearing than the Noble. The Noble does seem to start running out of puff after 130.

I can remember still accelerating through 190mph in the Roock, but I would think that the Noble would be just as quick to 100mph. I had a 512TR try to keep up from Rouen to Calais. I wonder if he was a PHer!

I think the Roock was about 7.5 to 100 or was it 125. Anyway, the Noble would leave it for dead through the twisty stuff!

ahhh memories.

As regards the video, I recently had the whirring noise mentioned on my other thread checked out.
www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=135704&f=26&h=0
It turns out I had a failing turbo gasket.
Being down on power for Vmax -unacceptable!!

I was truely shocked how much ground Joust made up on me through the corners at the last v-max. He should be renamed Tron

Just wait until the next one, I'll have my M400 along for that, then you'll see what "gaining" really means
