Harness without a rollcage ?
Discussion
Can someone tell me if it is possible to fit a full harness to my 1997 5.0 ltr without the introduction of any other parts or a rollcage/bar ?
Any suggestions on which harness to get + prices etc.
The plan is to use it for track days only so I don't want to replace the existing seat belt. I guess that it would need to be either easy to remove or to stow out of the way.
Cheers

I know Pete H has mentioned this before; with full harness you can't duck down should you roll, which might be the only thing that saves you.
Get a roll bar as well.
I had both on my Chimaera and can recommend them. Didn't ever need either for their ultimate purpose fortunately, but the roll bar stiffens and the harness gives more feel of car movements.

Not really, mine has been fitted with the TVR roll bar toaday cost was about £200 plus fitting(which takes a while )and it takes tvr about 4 months to makle a roll bar but apart from that very happy with it, looks the buis as well imho.
If you are in any doubt look at the pictures on the tower view web site that will change your mind one flat griff !!!!!

The mounting points are already in the car if it is a post 96 model. The bible has all the details. No need for a bar or anything.

If this is the factory one, it is classed as for cosmetic use only. It also puts the roll bar right by your head so that in any other type of accident, your head hits it. Not a very good design. Anyway lots of Deja Vu as this has been discussed to death before.
