It has been recommended I have 10 or so steroid (corticosteroid)injections throughout my facet joints in my spine. Currently, I'm not convinced and need a bit more persuasion to pay the money they are asking (££££) after the last corticosteroid injection I had wasn't worth the money or hassle.

Has anyone had them? If so, has it helped? I had similar injections into my left shoulder around 7 months ago and after the anesthetic wore off, I felt no benefit so now I'm questioning the likely success of this.

I'm pretty young and don't really want this to be a procedure I endure every year or 6 months if I can help it.

Thanks in advance smile

Me and the missus both had 2 sets of them in the space of about 8 or 9 months. I had mystery back pain in that area and she has a partially slipped disc.

They were great for the first 4 or 5 days for both of us and then it was business as usual.

I certainly wouldn't be paying for them with my own money.

That's about all the one I had in my shoulder did. I'm looking at a 4 figure bill if I go ahead with them but given the poor feedback I've found over the internet and from my shoulder experience, I'm not convinced.

Cheers! smile
