Foolspeed campaign - speeding is stressfull
Discussion
The Scots have managed to think up another reason why we should not go over artifically low speed limits, apparently it stresses us out, whatever next?

Can I tell you something Gopher. We've had to put up with this stupid nonsense for years and all the attendant air time it gets.
The ads are an insult to your intelligence and I have never found a single person who thought they were a good idea or that they worked.
Utter Bowlocks.
I was speeding on the way home from work tonight, I left the office at 6:45 and missed all the traffic, did sensible speeds, but they were over the limit in a few places where the road was derestricted DC/motorway. I found it very relaxing after a day in the office staring at a screen.
Naturally I stuck to 33 in a 30 and didn't exceed 45 in a 40, I'm not a nutter (honest).

Sorry chaps. It's not b
ks at all. I believe that all people have a speed, on any given road and in given conditions, above which they do not feel comfortable. That means stress.
Of course, this speed has little to do with the posted limit for most people. And a miniscule minority do not slow down when they reach their "speed of discomfort". These are the w
rs that give the rest of us a bad name.

E.G. One ad was aimed at 'competitive' drivers, you know the type, traffic light grands prix everywhere and hate to be overtaken etc Harsh cornering, late braking and no consideration for other road users or pedestrians.
IMO, they dilute the benefits by suggesting in the name that it's about speeding, when really it isn't. I think this link is a good example of what the campaign is really about, although I see that the inevitable bias towards 30 safe, 31 dangerous has started to rear it's ugly head on the website too. You could really call this ad "Don't drive like a tw@!"
