That's going to look fantastic when you pick it up next week! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Chris
I hope it does look fantastic when its finished as I bought knowing it would need new carpets and seats re-trimmed and hated the colour of the carpets they was charcoal and to me they did just go with the car see picture below, I,am being boring and just keeping the seats same colour as I now really like them, going black carpets with amber whipping to the edges instead of vinyl, the trimmer says it will give a better finish and stop the carpets curling up at the edges. Then I,am having a titanium gearstick put in to hopefully stop me getting blisters from the heat when changing gear, then that's it for a while had so much done to her now I just want to enjoy for a while
P.S.
See your thread about the stereo and I had an alpine one put in which is very good only thing is it has no CD and plays through my iphone so not for you but it is great because no wires to connect to the phone or ipod does it by Bluetooth and you can get radio stations from all round the world on it if you download an app plus you get better reception as the reception is awful in al TVR,s

. Looking forward to seeing the finished result.I also bought mine knowing that the interior had to go, too. I want a neutral colour scheme too, as it may be sprayed a different colour one day. I am thinking black carpets and two tone grey/Portland grey leather interior, along with the blue roof changed to black.
I have an Alpine unit in mine too, without a CD slot. Wonder if they're the same...
I will post up some photos next week when its finished, the car has been re-sprayed as well

I had a Tuscan with Portland Grey seats and dark blue carpets and they worked really well together but the Tuscan was blue
is your Alpine this one in the link below if it is it works with other phones not just iphones but with the iphone it has more features, only problem I found is that you have to have the phone on constant charge

Nice! it seems that these cars never age, looks-wise. (I realised this when I set eyes on another Tam and T-350 after not seeing any for the past 7 years - they looked as good as I remembered). One could be forgiven for think yours is a brand new car!I had a Tuscan with Portland Grey seats and dark blue carpets and they worked really well together but the Tuscan was blue

The head unit looks similar, but I assume the one in the link is a newer version. Anyway, I have already ordered the Pioneer kit, along with the rear view camera...
I am guessing it would be best to have it installed along with the re-trim?
ETA - I would love to get mine re-spayed in either red or yellow pearlescent one day...

I plan:
Complete re-trim
Nitron shocks and full geometry check, including brakes.
4.3 upgrade, with perhaps new alternator, new rad and black silicon coolant hoses.
Then, it will be my perfect Tam..

Dom,s 4.3
Silicone hoses
ACT Carbon Air Box
Maybe the Sag Rear spoiler but I,am not convinced and is then just a OTT
Ali washer bottle or move the horrible plastic thing like the link below or ali washer bottle and still move it for better access, such a neat an simple idea

then it would be perfect in my eys
All
I,am having it done a local trimmers in Kent which I found them at a classic car show, I went and visited their workshop and checked out their work they was doing and I was very impressed, I grilled the owner for ages so that I was happy that he could take on a TVR, I went back there twice to look at work they was doing and once I was happy discussed what I wanted, he has said that the match to the dash not be perfect due to fading but I will live with that, he gave me a price and I haggled and I got some off which was rude because his price was marvellous in the first place, we agreed a price and I thought right book it in for next week but he had a waiting list of 2 months which annoyed me but thinking about it, it gave me more confidence, I dropped it off last Saturday and a guy was picking up an old 1969 ish VW Camper van that he had had re-trimmed and a friend of mine who dropped me down there was so impressed with the finish and so was I it looked immaculate the guy had a smile on his face and was over the moon and so would I be it looked fantastic, not an ordinary VW Van by the way it had a Porsche engine in it
When I get it back and I,am happy with it I will pass on the details of the trimmer I just want to be 100% sure they are good

Picked her up last night and just had a quick look round and I,am pleased with the finish, specially for the money I paid, seats look great and he has done a great job with the TVR logo, carpets fit really well had the edges braided / whipped rather than the vinyl piping and looks quite good all the top marques are doing the same finish. Just a couple of niggles, the gearstick gaiter is too long which is a quick fix just cut back and glue it back in place, he was going to get rid of the screw holding the centre consul in place and use a better fixing and he has carpeted over the cigarette lighter
but as I said for the money it looks great
