Excellent clap and plenty of width but where is the sofa, TV and mini-fridge?

The wall was already there and we had a large shed beside it, tore it down, created the roof, back panel then poured the concrete for the floor! Toying with a roller door to complete it but it will do for now! smile

You could get it under permitted development unless its too close to a boundary.

I wouldn't have bothered to even phone lol.
Get some doors on and heating in there! there's no such thing as giving your nob too much love.

No planning needed for that, lean to not regarded as a permanent building.

Roller doors are great. However nothing like having that extra bit of weather protection when an up and over door is up. I park another car in front of garage so have to have a roller

Don't think you would get a roller door on that looking at it as you need about 300mm behind that wedge piece for the box that contains the roller, and if you manage to fix it below that it might look a little odd and low? Maybe double doors would be better?

Correct you do need approx 300mm I know they do a slimmer version which does not require as much but not sure how much less, I believe the slats are smaller which don't look as nice. Depending on where your roof finishes in line with your brick pillar you could fit one external with the external boxing then fix straight into the pillar & side of house, the roller/box has minimal fixing it's all done on the side frames.

Looking at the roller door options I'm starting to think there won't be enough room to take one! Might have to look into other options, only issue with double doors is I come in at a slight angle so an open door would minimise this angle to get the car in!

The box can always be on the outside but not as nice to look at

Actually, I'm looking at fitting a roller door. Currently have a nice steel up-and-over one - solid but could use the extra metre of space a roller door offers.

Can anyone comment on what's better/more solid - steel of uPVC? Cheers.

The roller doors are powder coated aluminium and the laths are insulated with foam and are pretty strong I've had my fitter put one in from these guys www.rollerdor.net and it was the econ all in delivered £455 and was very simple to fit and there made to measure, the quality was pretty decent. Looks like the top box they do is only 205mm square but wouldn't recommend putting this particular system externally. Seen a few on the Lamborghini forum use this company and they have had the bull emblem made as a large stick on vinyl and put on the front of the doors, not sure I would be wanting to advertise the contents of my garage but looked pretty cool!
