I thought you might appreciate a little piccy of a Gallerdo that accompanied us on a Euro-hoon this summer:

Cool what time of year was that. We were there in August but didn't take the car sadly

Early May, great time of year. Just after the ski season and before the summer season. Although September is also nice, below is a video from September 2012, less snow and very quiet roads:

We want to go back in the Lambo now having not done it in the Ferrari we realise what we missed.

If you have any route or hotel ( with safe parking ) recommendations it would be appreciated

Safe (accessible) parking was a top priority for us as well. The following thread/blog has a list of good hotels we used in the past for various European trips.
