Electric conversion

Thinking about adding battery power to my mountain bike. Does any one have any experience or recommendations ?

I've had a electric assisted bike for about 3 years, initially to get back into cycling after having a number of health issues, now I barely use the assistance now and find the extra weight a pain so am looking at getting a new bike next year.

I'm thinking of buying one to install in a kid's trailer, to allow for the disabled daughter of my cousin to be pulled along with ease. At that price it's worth it for an experiment.
