I'm out of touch with what is available. With my new M5 arriving soon I thought it best to look at one. I have the Tomtom camera app on my phonebut havent really used it and dont know how good it is. Any views?

The Pocket GPS World one seems to have a good reputation. I use it, it seems very accurate, and I have no complaints (well, old cameras seem to take an age to be removed, but this seems to be the case with most systems?).

I use their app on an iPhone 4S with the Tom Tom Western Europe app, and it integrates very well.

Best one is your eyes, but I've always found the ones on Waze to be pretty good

I just retired a Road Angel Compact after about 8 years of service, and I was after a replacement too.

I see the new Gem doesn't get good reviews, does anyone have any views on the Snooper Lynx? It seems to tick all the boxes so far.

I have just bought the new gem. I don't like it half as much as the RA2, which I almost bought from EBay for £30, wish I did now....

It has very irritating beeps, which you can't really change, the screen is too 'fussy' compared to its predecessor. and the battery lasts 40 minutes from full charge. Finally, unlike its predecessor, there is monthly/yearly charge for updates.

Unless you want to go down the expensive route of hardwired systems, tomtom is the best you can get really.
