Hi all

thinking of getting one that has a USB input from my PC to use in a small room (1.8m x 2.0m) so I don't need anything powerful. Has anyone got or heard one at all? Are they okay?

Any recommendations up to £100?

I use a 4 channel Sure 4x100 sometimes, it uses the Tripath TK2050 chip(s) and I think the sound is superb for the money. Here's a review of the 2 channel version; http://www.justblair.co.uk/sure-2x100w-tk2050-ampl...

This might do the job for you, good output stage, USB input + very high quality volume control. has a headphone amp too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Topping-TP32-T-Amp-Digit...

If you can stretch your budget a little you could be patriotic and get one of these http://www.templeaudio.net/bantamusb.html. It uses the same Tripath 2024 output stage as the Topping. Bantam's customer testimonials make interesting reading.
Here's a review of the Bantam gold http://www.tnt-audio.com/ampli/bantam_gold_e.html

I have one in my small kitchen system powering Gale speakers, albeit mine doesn't have any USB out/inputs.
Surprisingly good for their small size & plenty of choice on ebay from about £29.
