Tuscan V6 APA778H History
Discussion
I had a Chat today with Oliver Edwards TVRCC Editor for the Pre80s cars and he kindly forwarded me the write up from a previous owner of the car in 1992 Sprint thanks Mate.
It was sold to a Mr Beckmann in 1988 by the then Editor who I know is on here and I hope can help fill in some of the gaps please.
It would be nice to be able to contact the previous owner and help from anyone on here appreciated

Did Oliver tap you up for an article. I can feel a "before" and "after" type article coming on lol
We do need so more early stuff in sprint and it is down to us all to provide content
Close an article on how clean is your car like the TV show for Houses I suggested we start with yours how about it We do need so more early stuff in sprint and it is down to us all to provide content

With the title if you go down to the woods today!
It can still be a before and after

Talking of previous owners, I got a full list of mine by getting the V888 form off the DVLA website, it also highlights major modifications like colour changes and engine changes (assuming they was reported to the DVLA). Also got some copies of old MOTs. Not bad for a fiver! Took about a month but was worth the wait.
Once I got the list I contacted the last few owners and took the car round to show them and let them have a spin out in it, got alot more info about the car and some old VHS footage of it on a track.

If Andrew and Glenn can provide one article each month next year on just one of their cars at a time we should cover 2014 quite nicely. Maybe we should start a "Dream Garages" feature...
Oliver.
Maybe a "lighter" section would be to introduce a Readers Wives errr I mean cars Oliver.
type section in Sprint......where folk can send in mini updates about items vs a full blown 11 page article on a new ECU or something Just an idea but more folk could write a couple of paragraphs and add some pics quite easily

You could do the Empty Garage Feature

Have you tried contacting Richard Sails at the TVRCC he is the club Archivist he may have some information and even if he does not he would be interested in having your car info if not on his radar
Thought i should update this as over the last month i have had some success on getting more history.
Phil ATE399J who has a Tuscan who is in our region rang me when he saw the reg number as he realised i had his friends car from the 80s and he used to work on the car for him.
However 20 odd years later they had long lost touch.
Richard wrote the feature in Sprint that i put up earlier in this thread shortly after the car had been sold by his Friend.
The car has been off the road since then in several hands until Mat and his Dad bought it and restored it 2 years ago.
In the mean time Phil has been trying hard to find his friend and with the help of face book he has managed to make contact.
And Richard has been in touch with me several times as he is rather excited as he to was trying to find where his old car was now so we have had a good few calls and he is kindly getting all his history and pictures together and making copies for me.
The Plan is when the car is finally finished its interior remodel that he will get over and see her but is also going to write a feature for sprint as well on the story as we only live about 50 miles appart.
If any of you ever read his original feature it said he had wanted to use the car for his honeymoon however it was not working so that dis not happen.
So the plan is that he will have the car to go away in for his Anniversary or thats the plan which will be cool.
So not only will Richard be reunited with his much missed car but an old friendship has been rekindled.
Great how these cars seem to bring people together and the love for them lives on years after they no longer have them in there care
