Anyone resident in the Leicester area?
Discussion
I have one daughter at Uni there, and she's suffering from withdrawel symptoms.:O
She desperately needs a car fix
she's heard a few of you out there, nearly had a fatal out of the window, craning to see a Black Cerbera, that's my girl.
What I'm asking is, has anyone got a bit of spare time to take her out for a spin? Let me know via e.mail and we can sort something out for her. Thanks

East midlands TVR car Club are meeting this Sunday about 10 miles North of leicester if that helps

I'm only five minutes down the M69 at Burbage, so I guess I qualify. Can we define "a spin"? It wouldn't involve anything scary, like stopping off at Fosse Park, would it? The memsahib would go bonkers if I took 'another woman' to the shops!
I really should try and get to an East Mids gathering one day.

Photos?
You're far too fussy!
Pulse?
This does beg the question why you would want your daughter to go anywhere near your average male TVR owner...
At risk of derailing the thread, Saf, ho have you found the change from Saab to Griffith? I used to have an old shape 900 T16S, and whilst it was a very nice quickish saloon, I don't think I'd have wanted to step straight out of it and into a Griffith!?

P.s. Average male??
You misquote me, Oxbow. I said 'average male TVR owner'
In other words, someone several rungs further down the evolutionary ladder from the average average male. Hell, I've met some of you guys...some of you think that clubbing them over the head and dragging them back to your cave is sophisticated!
Edited to ad: Pictures would be nice though. Obviously, we can be having anyone who is going to ruin the fabulous, sleek lines of our penis extensions when placed on the passenger seat.

She's more than used to being around "male" petrolheads, this child was introduced to fast power (Oulton Park Race Meeting - Dave Ellis's V8 Aston running only yards away)at 6 weeks old. Though we used the sedate 900 for the journey home from hospital. When she first went out in the Sonett tears were rolling down her cheeks, I'm sure her blood must be 90% Castrol R or equivalent
As for the Griff she just sat in it on the drive, obviously waiting for the day when she could officialy drive it. Well maybe, sometime.
As for changing from the Saab into the Griff, I mentally tell myself "REAR WHEEL", we are gelling nicely, the drivers seat is more welcoming all the time. I think the journey up to Gorners in the pelting rain has definately helped though, and just to make sure it rained the day I picked it up again.
Having the power of the Turbo (non-standard by the way) more than came in handy, so the lack of PS isn't a problem. Also a couple of track days make you realise when, where and how to apply pressure to the right pedal, don't get me wrong I'm not being complacent here, I just try and put the correct head on for the correct style of driving.
Next lesson, the Sonett, LHD, LSD and rally prepared motor, can't wait

May well have been my cerbera as I'm living in leicester these days. Happy to help a fellow PH'er. Have mailed you via your profile.
wasn't your Cerbera parked on London road yesterday was it?
Well i'm not far in Enderby, although i think my missus would object to me taking another women out for a spin
