Well guys it been a great journey with the Wedges I have owned over the last 15 years ranging from an entry level 280i to the 500i monster I have currently.

But as I am off to the US for at least 9 months its time to move the 292 Bhp "Gredge" onto another Wedger who will use and appreciate it. She will go onto the classifieds soon looking for a new owner.

So its been great, I wish you all the best for the coming festive season and for the help and support that this forum offers

Have a good one yes

Thanks guys... did consider SORN but it is 9 months initially but could be a lot longer! These cars need to be used so better it goes to a good home and continues to be looked after.

Good luck with your time in US of A. This must be a real wrench. Save the pain and leave it with me for 12 months, I will look after it, honest!!

Rather than me buying it, I could keep it used for you until you return.....?

Oh I see! So that's what a Wedge looks like with the roof up. I have been wondering. [/AQ school of wedging]

Should I add a smiley thing to indicate jest? I have £3k in ready cash available to purchase the Gredge

I've seen it with the top down too! ;^)

Very nice it is. After all Chris's fettling and polishing it really needs driving!

The only thing I would change on it is some 245's on the back to get all that power/torque down... I think you have 225's at the moment?

Hi Chris,

Congrats on the new venture, allthough you will be missed in this time (however long it may be....)

It will be interesting to see, what TVR you will drive in the US, and once you return !

Now we will have a practical problem on 'The Return, part III', I do hope Mark will take your duties as UK person in charge ?

Still think you shouldn't sell the Gredge, i'm sure there is many whom would be very happy, keeping her 'warm' !

Have a good one, mate, hope to meet prior your departure (and next year, obviously !)

I went to the US for just 6 months, but it turned into 15 years and counting. I waited until last year for my first TVR (an S1) because of silly import laws. It looks like The Gredge is still too young to be imported, but seriously consider bringing it over for your stay. Shipping is £700 to the east coast and there would be no duty for you, but it can only stay for 12 months. The locals love TVRs but they are such a rare sight. You wouldn't regret it for a minute!

If you imported it after it's 25th birthday (via Canada if you are living here), I would think you could get a pretty penny for it over here.

If you want help importing, PM me.

Could always take it with you, you'll need a car....
And shipping is not real pricey.
