A6 BI TDI Brakes

Hi Just been informed that my A6 BiTDI needs new rear brake pads? ( 26000 miles) worn 90%! - The front pads have not been changed and theyre at 40% worn ?
Anyone come across rear pads wearing out so quickly?- Anything to do with the Auto Park handbrake ( the rear brakes apply every time you come to a stop and then release under pressure?) Or has Audi altered the brake bias to the rear?

Probably, rear pads are also usually a lot smaller than fronts, 26k isn't bad anyway and they're cheap aren't they ? You're not using an Audi dealer are you ?
