You may or may not already know this, but I learnt this today:

Bullfrog were going to make a DK3 - but EA scrapped it to work on more lucrative things, like cashing in on Harry Potter. Having seen what EA are like (and having worked for them) I'm not surprised.

Fast forward, and indie-developer Subterranean Games got their hands on it, started a Kickstarter campaign for funding, achieved their goals, and are now making it, currently in Beta, called: War for the Overworld.

I'm pretty excited about this good news!

Wahey! Glad someone else was a fan. Yes, this is sounding great, I totally forgot about the series until I saw this. Fingers crossed it all works out okay.
