SHELL REGULAR UNLEADED- shell fuelsave currently unavailable
Discussion
Just filled my car up and half way through noticed the little fuel sticker looked different, read it and it said the above, with one for diesel too. So what has gone in my car? Is it the base fuel with old stock additive or what?
I don't really see how you can run out of fuelsave when it's pretty much the standard diesel and unleaded shell use everywhere, so has there been issues with fuelsave or something? I am puzzled.

Having done some internetting, it seems I may have got fuel that is slightly lower quality than fuelsave and it happens because of demand outstripping the available stock and shell using other supply depos "that doesn't have the facilities to produce a fuel to the standard of fuelsave" or something. Waste of a trip to shell then possibly.

Hang on, you're complaining because you normally use normal unleaded and now the quality is less?
If you're that bothered about quality fuel why not use V Power? Otherwise I don't see what the moan is here.....
I use V power every other tank or there abouts, I just wondered what the difference in this fuel supplied was to fuelsave, which I know to be fine in my car. If its the same blend as original shell unleaded as stocked before fuelsave I'm fine with that, if it's a load of scrappy carp from asda and the sort and I've paid a few pence more without a proper warning then im slightly irked. I've never seen it before and don't think the young girl at the counter knew or cared what the change was, just wondered if anyone had experienced similar. I'll be checking the little plaques carefully before filling from now on though.

what your saying about a seasonal blend could be possible but it didn't change here last year.
