I am getting close to the end of my rebuild (hopefully) and the car is coming back together bit by bit.

When I bought the car is had started to be dismantled already and came with two boxes of bits. One of the boxes of bits was mostly nuts and bolts and as I have been replacing with new I am not overly concerned with the large number of nuts and bolts I seem to have spare. However, as I didn't take the car apart and my knowledge is limited there are a few bit I don't know where to fit.

Here is the first picture:

The bits in red are possibly something to do with the exhaust but they seem too small - any ideas?

The blue bits look like they hold a cable down and could be for the brake lines but of so what do I bolt them to/where do they attach?

The green bits are the biggest puzzle for me, they are 6 small tube type things. Here is a close up of them together:

Any ideas of where I should have put these?

Bit of a guess (I don't have a Cerbera)

Red bits, exhaust as you say or fuel pump, fuel filter mounting bracket?

Blue bits, could be "anything" brake pipes, fuel pipes, clutch pipe, wiring etc. etc. ?

Green bits, look like the spacers that came with my shocks when I changed from rubber bush mountings to ones with spherical (ball) joints top and bottom?

Are those green bits the spacers for the chassis strengthening plate ?

I'm not sure about the red circled parts, but the blue ones look like the fuel line clamps from the front of the engine:

To me, the green items (which I think are the same as the bottom image) are the spacers that go between the chassis and the stainless steel chassis brace.

As per the other replies.

Green are the undertray/chassis brace spacers. As you have 6 I would suspect the engine undertray

Blue, P clips for the fuel hoses.

As per

Red, could be exhaust related? The fuel pump bracket has 2 flats with hoes and a bolt through the middle ish. The Carbon canister is much bigger than those will hold.

Thanks for the replies so far. I think you are right on the six spacers. I haven't refitted the chassis strengthening plate yet and given three of you have all said the same it sounds right.

The larger brackets I am still unsure on - I will see if they fit on the exhaust but I am sure the exhaust is wider. They aren't to the fuel filter or fuel pump, that are already back on and painted up.

The smaller hose clamp type things should be off something around the rear of the car. I have done all the work on the front end myself and they didn't come off there. The previous owner stripped out the rear of the car and put all the bits he took off in one big box which is where these are.

The remaining work I have is to refit the chassis plate, the heatshield, the exhaust system, the handbrake shoes, the calipers, brake discs and brake hoses. I think that is it now, everything else is back on the car.

P-Clips are the brake hose support clips then to stop them rubbing on the wishbones. thumbup

Mount with the antiroll bar bottom bolt.

The chassis plate has about 10 bolts and spacers. So not sure on that look more suspension to me.

P clips lower rear wishbone as said to keep the brake line away. I cable tied mine at one stay and MOT bloke said you can't. So back to a p clip.

Engine undertray has about 6-8 spacers. Chassis brace has a few more.

They could be suspension ball joint spacers if it has uprated rose joints on the op and bottom of the shocks but would need 8 in total.

Those spacers look like the ones at the top of the front shockers and the rear anti-roll bar drop link ones . If so you are a couple short.

IIRC - Those bits in blue are used to run the rear brake pipes through.

If you're having problems visualising, give me a poke as I should have a load of pics I took of my chassis before my strip down.

What's the approx diameter of those spacers? It's hard to tell in the pic.

They are 19mm on the outside but I am quite sure they are the chassis plate spacers since finding another 4 in the parts boxes. I now have 10 of them. I also tried to find the bolts for the plate and I think I have found them. I have 8 bolts which are the same and two which are the same thread but slightly longer. I will have to work out where the longer ones fit.

As for the brake pipe holder things that connect to the drop link antiroll bar bottom bolt does anyone have a picture of it in place so I can make sure I don't do anything stupid....like mount it through the drop link bottom bolt!

Edited to correct my own misunderstandings.

Cheers ridds.

It looks like it does attach to the bottom end of the drop link then. Also, is your anti roll bar an over one or under? Mine seems much higher.

If you take a look at mine I have circled in red where I think you are saying the clip locates but also is is normal for the link to be about 1/2 an inch too short. I will have to jack up the bottom wishbone in order to connect these links. Is that normal?

That's the spot and yes, you'll have to jack it up to attach the anti-roll bar. Of course it depends where the suspension is on the other side. Should be able to pull the bar down a little too.

the two longer bolts go to the rear of the car. You may also have two spacers longer than the others.
The plate drops slightly to accommodate the bends in the exhaust where the exhaust bends down to go under the diff. Also the original style exhaust had a cotton real mounting point which attaches to that chassis plate.

Thanks - that will save me getting it wrong and figuring out as I go. Depending on Saturday I may have the car near completion...hopefully.

I can't quite finish it fully as I am still waiting for some bolts for the driveshaft to diff and my oil pressure gauge to be fixed but I can get much closer hopefully. I want to get the heat-shield and exhaust system back on so I can start her up and see what the end result will sound like.

Looking forward to seeing/hearing the product of your labour these past few months.

You and me both. I have made some more progress this morning but now the kids want to go and fetch a Christmas tree.

Hopefully it won't take long and I can carry on with the car.
