Thanks. I had voted GT3 RS, however, with your needs the Italian cars should also be in with a good shout. 430 Spider should give a good mix of occasion, noise, and Sunday driving.
NB: you may want to consider if you are happy with a traditional red Ferrari. A friend had one and I felt it got a bit too much attention of the wrong type. But everyone is different and you may not mind that.

Cheers, I know the 430 is a goer, but can't help thinking the RS is a special car, built from a racing heritage. NB: you may want to consider if you are happy with a traditional red Ferrari. +1. At first it's great (most attention is positive) but after a few months I got pretty sick of it - sometimes you want to just go out for a drive without getting so much attention. My current car is a rather fetching Grigio and much more subtle - it gets noticed, but is a lot more low key.VladD said:

But I have a thing for Lambos.
Never really liked the 911, so I'm not sure my opinion is valid here.
I don't think this is in the wrong place, reasoned people, reasoned discussion. 430 Spyder

I was never a fan of Pork, then the GT2 changed that, hankering after a N/A screamer really, had lots of Turbos.
Thanks for your reply, I too love Lambos

For pure driving i'd have the 997 GT3 (although would prefer a 996 GT3 which was my own choice).
Then a manual 430 which is a hlaf decent steer with a great engine and box (must be lowered to Scud height and have scud springs & bar fitted or its just too soft IMO if you are used to porsche GT cars)
Then the GT2.
Then the lambo which from a driving POV is easily the poorest of the bunch IMO.
___
for you, as you want occasion, i'd go for the 430 but stiffen it above a little as above and fit a proper exhaust that won't lunch your manifolds/engine

Agreed with regards to the suspension mods. Makes it a much better steer and it looks a lot more purposeful as well.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
