For the fellow sonosites out there that have Play:1's have you mounted them to the wall and if so, which brackets/system did you use.

I've recently added a couple to my Playbar and Sub set up and need to either mount them to the wall or get mini shelves for them rather than rest them on the back of the sofa! I've done a search online and the Flexson solution looks great - but not at £55 for the pair.

Any cheaper/alternative ideas?

I'd bite the bullet if you want to go down that route.

The play 1s are faily hefty for their size and cheapy mounts will bend. Also mounts tend to be screwed to the speaker and couple this with their 'non straight box' shape, this again limits 'universal' designs.

If you are semi practical it wouldn't be hard to make something. 1/4 inch 20 pitch bolts are a common size.

Nothing else I'd recommend other than Flexson. Might be a bit on the pricy side but made for the job. That or a bit of DIY.

i'm sorry but 30 quid for a bent piece of metal to screw to the wall is just a rip off, surely there is a cheaper option out there that will be just as good, i'm looking at the play 5 system and assume the brackets for them will be even more horrific in price terms, so either diy or another solution, but i would refuse point blank to spend that sort of money on something so trivial.

Job is jobbed.

15 quid for a pair of little brackets from B&Q. http://www.diy.com/nav/rooms/storage-shelving/shel...

Two screws for each one on to the wall. Bolt into the back of the Play:1 and mounted to the wall they are. Each bracket is rated for 5Kg so can easily take the weight of the 1.8kg Play:1. They can even adjust up/down and side to side.

55 quid for the other ones is a joke.....

Nice one - do they come with a 'bolt' for the play:1 or do you have to find appropriate
