Best tool cabinet and tool deals for christmas presents!

So I have asked for a roller tool cabinet and some new tools for xmas to tidy up the garage a bit.

What is the best budget cabinet to go for brand wise?

Dont wont to spend more than £250 and there seem quite a few under that for cabinet and drawers including sealey, halfords, machine mart etc!

Any help appreciated quality wise etc, plus anywhere for offers or deals!

The halfords range is on offer at the mo, if you can stretch your budget a little the black boxes are hard to beat but the red ones are good value too. If you wait until after christmas the black set should come down to £299 for the pair, im sure i paid that for them last year and its a bargain.

Try to get units with ball bearing drawers as they are so much easier to open when they're loaded with tools. My Halfords roll cab and chest have been faultless in the last three years.

I bought ex-display ones and they had very minor damage (couple of tiny dents) and got a third off the (already in the sale) price. This was at the end of the sale and they were trying to get rid, but it's worth a try if you can find damage on the display model.

Apologies but I have no experience of any other brands, but I would suggest Snap On, MAC etc. are very nice but OTT for the average DIY'er.

Thanks for the info about BB drawers that is helpful.

I was in Euro car parts and they suggested the Sealey AP2200BB at about £200, however just saw it online for around £100, think I will go with it as it look like good value and has good reviews.

If anybody is interested this deal is on again now, £299 for the tool cabinet and top-box, total price bought separately is £609.98. This is for the black Industrial set.

i've heard that santa ordered the 2 red ones at halfords for me in the end bundle deal is currently £199 thats half price seems like a bargain! I never went with the sealey on in the end because seeing it up close it is not that well made and a bit low height wise.
