I have just, for the third time, watched Skyfall smile The first time I watched it, I was shocked, horrified, and emotional when the DB5 was mullered by automatic weapons. It was not however, as emotional as the first time I watched it, when Bond opened the garage door to reveal it. I didn't see that coming. I saw my first Bond film around 1964, when I snuck into the cinema pretending to be 16 biggrin

In car terms, the Bond DB5 has to be the icon of all icons....

I post this here, because I believe that TVR fans are lovers of all great British automotive inventions. If you're not, you're either an idiot, a moron, or an immigrant. Or maybe all three... No racial insult intended.......

I love my Tiv, but the desire for an Aston is overwhelming. They'd have to share the garage of course (when I get one), beastie is going nowhere.. I'm not sure how long I can hold out for....

God help me.

Rest assured the DB5 mullered in Skyfall was a 1/3 scale model hehe

And yes, the Aston / TVR combo is wonderful wink

I thought it was (in comparison to other Bond films) a bit more grounded and quite enjoyed it...

Yes, my favourite next to the classics From Russia With Love and [i]On Her Majesty's Secret Service[i] (still vastly underrated that one)...

I mean that OK the cathedral sized spaces beneath London that were totally unused apart from a few builders lights and the abandoned island were a bit OTT but the rest of it seemed to be almost believable - maybe they were on a reduced budget? biggrin

Thanks for the reference. I may chase them up to see if they can make a 1:18 scale body of TVRs. We and others can add wheels etc.
