Just got my self a Gsxr 600 track bike, it has a set of slicks on it and I have a set of wets on wheels as well, I have got a front and rear wheel from my 1998 R1 with inters on will these fit my gsxr?

One more thing I would like to get for my bike is new air intakes as the ones on it are cracked, any one know where I could get a pair of carbon air intakes?

Good choice for a track bike. They're a fantastic handling machine, and if the suspension has been fettled they can be bullied round a track at a seriously quick rate.

The tyres from the R1 should fit the gixer, yes. The front's a 120-70-17 and the rear is a 180/55-17 I think.

As for the air intakes. These are so much more expensive than you'd imagine. I'm sure the standard ones are around £150 a pair if sourced from ebay. If it's just for track I'd just maybe glue and tape them and leave it at that.

My bike has a maxton rear shock and ohlins fork springs so should be good I hope!
It is just a track bike no lights etc..
The bloke who had the bike before me had just taped up the air inlets, just makes the bike look a bit naff, if they are £150 it can stay that way! was hoping they would be about £50-£60 max.

Is there any more track days at snetterton this year?

What year is your GSXR?

I have a spare set of air intakes for a 97 > 00 SRAD model.

Much cheapness.

My Neighbour has a GSXR-750 SRAD he uses on the track. He has replaced all the plastics with lightweight fibreglass ones, and completely stripped all the electrics from the bike to make it as light as possible. He has just about ridden the bike to its limit, and is looking for at a New R1 to replace it. If you want any info etc, I can pass his infomation on to you if you like

Its a 98 gsxr 600 with the later k model body kit, are they just the standard air intakes you have?E-mail me some pics and a price on that.

One of the things I dont like about the bike is that you have to insert three blade fuses to connect the ignition, the bloke I got the bike from said you can get a fob that just clips in and then a bit of string goes round your wrist so if you come off it the ingnition is shut off, can you get such a thing?

I don't 'think' they'll fit due to the K model panels you've got fitted, but you're welcome to try.

just to make sure we're on about the same bits - I'm selling the black plastic 'tubes' that direct the wind from the holes in the front of the fairing through the frame and on to the airbox.

They're in good condition generally, the offside one has the centre lug snapped off, but it would glue on. The nearside one is fine.

Suzuki want £35 each for these, I'd take £25 for the pair. I also have a standard screen and chainguard if you want.
