I do actually really like the look of that. Reminds me of a Lexus but I can't remember what one maybe someone else can shead some light on to which one I mean.

You didn't know about the Toyota GT86? Really?

It's been talked about for about x5 longer than it's been for sale. hehe

Basically the same car, but the Subaru is a much rarer car with only a small ammount coming into the UK. May well have been a deal struck with Toyota UK.

Not a joint venture at all. They are all made by Subaru, and then rebadged as as Toyota. Hence the Boxer engine, which Subaru are famous for, being in a Toyota.

Toyota do, however, use softer front suspension on their cars. Not sure why.

That's not accurate. It is a joint venture. Details here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_86

Im aware the BRZ and GT86 use the same platform, (Subaru is F/I and Toyota is n/a i think?) but am i right to think the LFA is completely a standalone model from these?

Will the BRZ/GT86 platform be used in anything else? What about the engine? (FA20) I think thats got potential to do well.

Brz and gt86 are the same bar bumpers and badges. Same engine everything. 2.0 boxer, NA.

The LFA is a completely different car. Carbon tub, 500hp, supercar. Cost over 300k when I came out.

There are details about a convertible version, that is on again off again.

Mechanically the only difference between the two are slightly different suspension setups

Otherwise its bumper, badges, some trim colour differences and colours. BRZ is available in WRC blue which is a bonus!

Oh and the BRZ has a nasty base model stereo in it (looks like the one from old Corollas) and a Pioneer sat nav as an option

Toyota uses a smart infotainment system designed by toyota (looks sam platform as other toyota systems of late)

Otherwise they are the same car, but the BRZ is much harder to get hold of

I think the stereo is brilliant! Nice and simple and has the added benefit of USB.

If it had bluetooth for me to answer the phone easier, then it would be perfect!

Only annoying thing is that the stereo backlight is green whereas the rest of the dash is orange. Not good.

Sure. Then read where it's built, and by who. I'll point it out for you....
