Been having a problem with my Chim 500. I have been getting a whirring noise from the rear which was thought to have been caused by the diff. The good news it isn't it was the offside rear wheel bearing that is cooked and needs replacing, also the offside inboard CV joint has a bit of play in it so that needs to be replaced. I was expecting a massive dent in my wallet if it was the diff, looks like it's not too serious now

Is it something easy to do? are there any specialist tools required to remove the wheel bearing and CV joints?

Are the rear wheel bearings and CV joints Ford?

If anybody can correct me and let me know the manufacturerpart numbers and rough costs please.

The car is 99 T Chim 500

Regards
Dave

Both are Ford but can't think of the part number off hand.
One side is a left hand thread don't forget.
The CV joints are better replaced with new rather than recon.
Always fit new HT Hex socket screws.
