Thoughts of a PSS9 kit keep springing to mind now that I'm enjoying more track days, but I just wondered what kind of difference in road holding/cornering ability I can expect from said conversion?

pss9 is fully adjustable, so providing you have this set up correctly then it will certainly improve the handling of your car.
the thing to consider is the slippery slope...pss9,,track tyres, supportive seats, the front diffs don't last too long on regularly tracked TT's.

is this the car to track? you don't get the money for the mods back, they can actually devalue the car and at the end of the day particularly on twisty circuits the TT is too much of a porker (heavy)....fantastic Gt road car though

Very good points Mr sport.

I was thinking that £1500 shocks = 1/3 of a decent track car!

Just curious: what's the typical failure mode of the front diff?

I recently had the PSS-9 kit fitted to my 993TT as the original shocks were 50K miles old and starting to feel very "BMW" like and I must say that I'm very happy with the results. The car now sits around 2cm lower which is plenty low enough for road use and fairly "RS" like. The cornering and ride is fantastic - much more stable than stock and more comfortable on the road too. I've been running with shocks set to 4 on the front and 5 on the back for the road.
