If a car was taken for an MOT and failed, then 4 weeks later its taken to a different garage for an MOT does the second garage see the first garages failures on the computer system?
I'm not an MOT tester, but I imagine when they enter the vehicle details they will get a list of the previous tests. I *imagine* it's normal to review a previous recent failure to ensure they test that part properly.
It's a new full test that's carried out - so whilst the original failure details are recorded, they are essentially ignored, a 'retest' isn't done (because you took it elsewhere, and it's outside of the allotted 'retest' time).
