Decided to send my seriously under reading mechanical speedo off for repair and calibration but the cost was such that I could buy a complete new electronic setup from Caterham.
I'm using the gearbox type sensor and the latest speedo, but am unable to get a signal from the sensor, its got 2 wires and I pressume one is (+) in ad the other signal out, is there a way to test this sensor.

I unfortunately can't help you, but I'd also interested in this. Due to shipping my car abroad to the land of KPH not MPH. My speedo only reads in the latter, so if I could swap it for an electronic speedo, this might solve my issue as it'll have both scales on I assume?

I went from a mechanical speedo to electronic and IIRC the sensor simply plugged into the rear via a short loom, I think I made one up myself. I'm pretty sure the 2 wires are just a switched connection from the sensor.
Re: MPH/KPH, speak to Caerbont, they may simply be able to swap the gauge face for one with both scales.
