Ibiza gti 16v cupra

I'm currently toying with the idea of one as my next car as I want something that isn't going to cost the earth to buy as it will be used mainly for the drive to and from work (A roads all the way) but still a bit of fun to drive. Has anyone owned one? Just wondering about reliability issues, anything to look out for when viewing them?

The other contenders in my shortlist are early polo Gti (only if the gearbox has been replaced), polo 6n2 16v, another polo gt coupe or if the budget allows another starlet GT.

A decent,if slightly one dimensional drive (compared to say a Pug Hot hatch from the same era). The main difficulty i suggest will be finding a decent, non molested one, now?

I have seen one for shed money that hasn't been messed with too much, may have to go have a look. I would love something that handles as well as my 106 did but it was the most unreliable car I've ever owned closely followed by a recent 306 hdi so I would never own an older pug again
