Thought it was an excellent day and very well organised. I was only there in the afternoon with the Panda, but had plenty of track time. Great circuit and takes a while to learn. All very very fast...

Great day as always. I'll put a video up later - probably Sunday evening. Good driving Dan, enjoyed seeing you pushing the panda very hard!

The complete lack of mx5 braking encouraged me to do much less of it! Think I was quicker by the end of the day.. even on something slow, it's a great track.

I've finally sorted the video out. Man in 911 very annoying! He denied everything when the CofC spoke to him later! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFhRVvnFBm8&sns...

I meant to ask, what tyres are fitted to the Mazda?

Your video shows the potential problems of a track day in a low powered car, what was the Porsche trying to prove? Very frustrating...

Will have a think about tyres for the Panda. Now have a spare set of rims, so might get something more track orientated.

The federals are in my opinion a bridge between a road and a track day tyre and they do a great job. If you're going to have a spare set, then you may as well go aggressive with your tyre choice! I don't want you overtaking me though!

The Federals sound a good bet. I have two rim sets, currently one has "all season" tyres (bit of an experiment) and the other needs to be equipped with tyres that'll cope with the summer commute (100 miles a day, 3 or 4 times a week), but also the odd track day, hillclimb and sprint. Track day at Brands on the 18th should finish off last year's summer tyres..
