Hey guys, long time no speak...

We are planning a return trip to the UK this coming year and are looking at hiring a Sag for a 4 day anniversary trip to Loch Lomond, I have done a search on here but there's nothing much up to date regarding hiring so if anyone has any recommendations on hire companies or would share their experience it would be much appreciated. Googling said subject there does seem to be a few alternatives depending on location. We will be flying into and staying around Birmingham but pickup location isn't really a concern.

It will be three years since we left for Oz when we come back in August.... did we miss much? I know I miss my cerb!

Hi Loz wavey
Graham here....bought your cerbera and still enjoy driving it. High maintenance costs for running cerberas sometimes makes me wonder why I keep it (as have a Griff to run too)...but when I get in, drive it and listen to those pops and bangs I soon forget about selling.

Just noticed your recent post on another thread and then looked on your profile and discovered this thread.
Dont know if you have found a TVR for your trip yet, or whether its just a Sagaris you still wanted, but if you can organise your own insurance you are welcome to borrow the Cerb back to do your trip. I could always bring it down to you in Birmingham if you want as my son James now drives and he could give me a lift back home in his car.

Graham

Oh wow Graham what a fantastic gesture! That would be pretty special as I'm sure the wife will vouch for the fact that I'm still pining after the old girl!!! How's she running? Do you get out much? Any mods or changes? I'll get in touch nearer the time and we can have a chat!?

Another reason to love TVR' that's unbelievable!

Thanks for all your nice comments. I realise it was hard for Loz to let the car go when he moved to Oz so I said at the time if he ever came back to this country he was welcome to borrow it back. He had spent a lot of time getting it just how he wanted it and it must have been a wrench to let it go.

Loz... good to hear from you. Yes the cars going quite well at the momment...just got it back from a 12,ooo mile service at RT Racing. It has had the odd issue or 3 over the last 3 years...like all Cerbs do (completely opposite to the Griff that just seems to plod on like any everyday car). Not done anything else to it since you had it. Still not got around to replacing the carpets like I intended as the leaks wont go away no matter how hard I try to plug the gaps. laugh The nice blue lights on the dash panels went out one by one so when I drove it at night it became tricky : just had white leds put in last week. Had another clutch, another starter motor, various other issues but still love the car.
So yes get back in touch whenever you want and we can plan a hand over. So long as you don't mind wet feet whilst you're driving smile

I'm sitting here all miserable because I had to call an ambwilans out for my wife who is now waiting in hospital for a probable gall bladder removal and this thread has made me smile and feel good about the world again. What a lovely gesture, top man.
