Best Place to sell a classic

After some advice, I am pretty new to the classic car scene as I have inherited some classic cars. I can't keep them all but I am keeping most. Where is best to advertise a classic car. I don't want to give details as I don't want this to turn into an ad.

You won't turn the thread into an ad', tell us what cars are for sale and maybe one of the PH classics chaps could be looking for just the car.

Elsewhere, advertise with the specific car within the owners clubs, here on PH and definitely here

I have advertised on CarAndClassic which is giving a bit of interest but nothing concrete.

The car is a Daimler DE36 Limousine, I have also got an ad in the DLOC as well and they are really helpful too.

I sold my 1963 Porsche 356 through e bay as classified ad with best offer also advertised here on PH.
Got a few silly offers but in the end a nice chap from Paris bought it after many e mails and photo requests, he even paid for it fully by bank transfer before even seeing it and sent a courier to pick it up.
Had pretty good results with e bay over the years but always sell as classified ad with good pictures never auction style and it only costs about £20 all in.
Car and classic attracted more time wasters than anything else with either dealers or auction houses trying to steal it off me.
Just keep your wits about you and stand firm over the price.

Try reducing the price, it's a nice car but of minority interest due to it's nature. I would imagine you are looking at a very small market indeed.

It's a nice old wafter and it could take a while to find a buyer, especially because it's size tends to go against it for a lot buyers.

It may be a bit of sacrilege to say it but change the colour to white/cream (either with a respray or better still a vinyl wrap so that it's easily reversed back to original), and With a bit of fettling, tidying and polishing, it could make a nice wedding car! (far nicer than those kit cars that pretend to be old classics). Just a thought!

A very real alternative to the usual Rolls Royce and Bentley cars with 'jump' seats, especially with the 8 cylinder engine. Best of luck with the sale. Are the 'other' classics as interesting?

Thanks for the replies guys, I currently have it on ebay as well. Just a waiting game I guess. Just wanted to see if there was anywhere else that had good coverage as well
