Might look at other TVR, different cars
Discussion
Nowt wrong with considering others.
If you are looking for something that really handles and has decent performance then have a look at Lotus. Lots of models to suit various Budgets, you could even get a wedge one - Esprit - same designer as the wedge I believe
I have a Lotus next to the wedge, have it for totally different reasons to having the wedge. Both are epic in their own ways.

I had an Esprit S3, in some ways a better car than the TVR wedge; put together exactly rhe same way of course If you are looking for something that really handles and has decent performance then have a look at Lotus. For me it lacked the sense of occasion that the TVR is to drive, but would make a better track car.
Yes looked at the Lotus variations in or around the same price bracket. My fear is if i was to let my wedge go i would struggle to get one back with such performance should i regret my decision.
The wedge is an amazing thrill every time i get in it, but i am a creature of change.
Contemplating saving like mad for an Ariel Atom, and keeping the wedge until i have enough money to make the difference up by selling the wedge.

As much as i love the wedge, i have the urge to try other TVR or different cars. The Wedge is mental with the new engine, and such a great drive on the Nitrons. Maybe a good nights sleep will change my mind.

I moved from a wedge to a Corvette C4 LT1 (a car I've always wanted to own)Rob
Nice experience, but now I'm back in a wedge

Nothing wrong with looking at or trying other things, I considered a Chim, and my childhood dream was an Esprit, but alas I grew too tall to get in one

Next best thing for me now would be a Noble. But really enjoying the Chimp at the mo. Still might bolt a turbo to it, just got to have patience now & save.....
Wyn , I have had a few rides in Nobles , ok they are fast and expensive and rely on turbos . The problem with going away from Tvrs is lack of sound and massive character and rarity !

Great cars Rob. So much better than a Wedge dynamically. Not so much mental f'offness. A bit softer really, but a lot lighter & better balanced. A great all rounder. Rob
Trouble is, not much is going to make you laugh like that beast you've created. Good luck.

You're right Steve, it's almost impossible to beat a Wedge for that 'laugh out loud factor'. I'm doing more & more trackdays nowerdays so the Chim is so much better at that 'out of the box' so to speak. How are you keeping anyway.
Wyn , you must be fairly good at those trackdays by now ! Apart from my mum having had a hip replacement and all those complications I'm missing driving a Tvr more and more and am wondering about a 450se .Obviously miss the blue seac but they are getting a bit expensive now ! ?Edited by combine on Sunday 15th December 10:57

I went from being a long term wedge owner to being a Maserati owner. (4200 Spyder)
The Maserati is maybe not quite as mad as the wedge, but the noise is still epic, and its got a few more creature comforts. 400bhp helps too….
Really love those and the 3200 The Maserati is maybe not quite as mad as the wedge, but the noise is still epic, and its got a few more creature comforts. 400bhp helps too….
- toyed with the idea of getting one myself but couldn't live with the possibility of large repair bills.@OP, if you look at Chim/Griff I think you'll be disappointed with a 400. I was bored of my Chimp 400 in just a few months, although for me a much better drive than any wedge I've owned. Griff 500 gives the grin factor and sound great decatted.
