the first thing I feel needs doing to the tiv is to make it slow down a bit quicker, so if Sierra discs are standard, where is the best place to buy some drilled and grooved discs, and uprated pads?
I did this on my mx5 and it increased stopping power significantly.

with regard to rear drum shoes, are there upgrades for the pads as well without resorting to fitting discs, as I`d like to keep the car original if poss.

Does everyones wives think it sad to talk cars when not driving them??

You can get drilled/grooved drums just as you can discs. Personally having seen too many failures I would avoid drilled components, but have never had any problems with grooved. Good specification brake linings, properly bedded in following the makers instructions, with fresh fluid, can make a world of difference to the feel of your brakes.

Had quite a few girlfriends in the past, imagine wives are the same (debatable!) Some would have been bored silly with my ramblings, the one Im with now loves to hear what I have to say, which makes me fortunate Its good to be enthusiastic, and better if your partner can share it with you.

How about upgrading to braided hoses and changing to fast road pads........ That helped mine stop a bit better
