I didn’t see what was binned but your preceding post was always going to attract insults and, in my opinion, rightly so.

As I recall, you said you would enjoy seeing someone die slowly while you inserted sausages in him. You also managed to work some abuse of people’s faith into the same sentence.

It was vulgar and offensive.

There’s no place for that sort of talk on PH. There’s no place for that sort of talk in civilised society.

Not having been binned before, you probably don't realise but what you're actually supposed to feel is gratitude at the moment, believe it or not.

When I was binned a few years back I emailed PG about it because I thought it was a bit heavy handed - as the reason for the binning was because of a humerous thread poking fun at some moderation - which then led me being banned.

Offending someone of the Christian faith is acceptable on PH (or society in general) but not of someone of the Islamic faith?

I'm not condoning Croyde's comments, but the hypocrisy witnessed in this respect in monumental.

To respond to Kiltie's comment, death by sausage insertion is never going to happen - realistically, is it? - so that's a comment secure in the realms of comedy, as has been proven myriad times via Monty Python, Blackadder etc etc.

Therefore we're purely down to the religious aspect.

yikes You actually got a reply?.

I contacted the mod that binned me and basically got told tuff and if you don't like it, email Garlick.

I did and didn't even get a reply.

I didn't read it as having any comedic intent. I just saw something which was obnoxious.

I'm not going to quote it - judge for yourself.

Indeed. It is perfectly acceptable (and tolerated) to mock, ridicule, and offend Scientologists on PH.

Why the double standards?

A good point poorly made. Deletion would be right for the site but a ban maybe harsh unless a repeat offender.

The taleban/insurgents have carried out far reaching atrocities against huge numbers of their own kind. I'm sure many of their victims, if given the chance, would like to see a suffering end metered out as an appropriate justice.

Personally I think your offence at croyde's comment is misplaced - but you have your opinion on that comment, and I have mine on yours - which is something the taleban/insurgents want to take away from everyone, if they had the chance.

Nobody was banned, he was just locked out of that thread and that thread only.

People have said far, far worse things and got away with it.

I can't stand the way the mods reinforce bullying on threads where one poster is standing up for their legitimate and polite opinion but it goes against thread convention (See: Anything suggesting porsche/M cars aren't the best etc). Starts of with the one dissenter called an idiot/bellend/troll - and progresses from there to the poster being banned for ....um ....?

You are so easily offended. That sort of talk happens every day in the real world.

I have no problems with Croyds post.

I wasn't binned for that post. It was taken from a Tom Clancy book anyway.

I was binned cos I used choice language against the poster who implied that I was wking as I wrote it.

It was late, I was tired and I used the go forth and multiply word.
