Who's been blatting?
Discussion
Mine's in bits, so no blatting until April
I'm fitting a CC external tank Dry Sump Kit (with shortened footwell), the gearbox has been serviced by Road & Race, new gel battery and wiring being fitted, then a complete strip and repowdercoat of the front and rear suspension with new bushes, TREs and balljoints, new shiftlights, new SFS silicone hoses and a bloody good clean!

The gearbox service at Road and Race was £270+vat. For that, they stripped it, replaced the 3rd gear synchro (which was worn), some bushes/collets, all the seals and put in a supporting bush that should have been in from manufacture but wasn't. They also replaced some other small worn parts but I confess I didn't understand what they did
I believe they can do the service whilst you wait but it does take a good few hours. I elected to drop off and pick up later, although I intend to take my diff there early next year and wait, I'll take a good book and chill out whilst they do it.

Did you have your gearbox services as you thought it needed it, or just as it was out and part of your over all refresh.

I'm soon to refresh my whole car. The gearbox seems fine to me, but didn't know if it was just a wise thing to do.
That sounds like a good price to me.
I've got a problem at the moment where the car will knock out of gear in reverse if too much throttle is applied, and has occasionally happened in 1st and 3rd too.
I've been told it's probably the engine mounts, but if that fix doesn't work, then it's nice to know a refresh doesn't cost the earth!
