super mario wii

the other half got a wii for her christmas a few years ago and its sat there untouched.

she enjoyed the odd game on the ps3 with me (rayman for example)

I thought id get her super mario game for her christmas as a wee thing to open as she likes they sort of platform games

whats the best one out there?

it needs to be two player though

New Super Mario Bros Wii is great. So is Kirby's Adventure.

My partner in all this is 5, though. YMMV.

Super Mario Galaxy 2

2 Player is a kind of "cooperate" mode where 1 player plays Mario, the other suppports by being able to deflect enemies, hold them back & collect stars etc

This. Playing through Mario Galaxy 1 again and it's really good. Not played 2 but imagine I will once this is done.

I say this as a 30 year old who used the excuse of having a young son to buy it. I may have also had loads of stick for being caught playing it co-op while on down time in Afgan.
