Does anybody do this?

Currently sat in the airport and a company I used to work for has alot of catering outlets here as they do in many airports, train stations and service stations, This got me thinking about when I used to get mystery shopped when I worked here.

I now work all over the country and travel by road, rail and air depending on cost and location and was just thinking would it be worth doing some mystery shopping, whilst earning myself a little more petrol money at the same time.

For those that do it do you work direct for the company you are shopping in or for an agency type business that requests you to go to different locations?

Any pointers, tips or tales are most welcome.

Done it a few times.

Money is nothing and it does take a bit of time to complete the reports. But if i's somewhere you pass regualally, go for it.

I used to do this as a student. I'll pm the company I worked for.

The wife does this as pretty much a full time job. I'd suggest a hop over to moneysavingexpert.com and looking at the forums dedicated to Mystery Shopping. None of them will name the companies as the forums are regularly monitored, and the mystery shopping companies manage to track back whose account it is, and kick them off!

Air side visits at the airports are always difficult for them to fill, so you'll be in demand.
