I'm trying to find the cheapest method of getting bulky items (used car seats!) from the UK to Australia. Anyone offer any advice, e.g. part containers?

I posted a pair of car front seats to California, in a big cardboard box. Surface mail, they took four months to get there. The complete interior from another car, loosely ratchet-strapped jenga-style on a pallet then wrapped in a mile of plastic sheet and gaffer tape, took much less time to get to Norway.
