l.e.d rear lights

has any one fitted aftermarket l.e.d rear lights to there gen 1 997 ? if so which make where they and what are they like regarding fit and quality ?

I have Dectane ones fitted and they are spot on, no issues so far after 3months

I've had the Dectanes for 2.5 years with no issues. Great quality and PnP.

yup agree with all the chaps about dectane. I looked at the Rottec ones too but thought the dectane looked more 'oem'. My set came with resistors which I fitted as well had them for 6 months no issues at all.

I like the look of these but the Dectane site says they are not appropriate for the 997 C4S - citing 'electronic issues'...

Anyone got the Dectane rears on their 997.1 C4S ? Any issues?

I seem to remember that when they first came out some guys were getting error messages but I don't think that was confined to wide body cars.
As chap above I have them on my 997 turbo and I think recently they all come with resistors which stop the error messages. I got mine from Orange Tuning just to let you know. Also put in Dectane led into YouTube and there are lots of instruction videos etc etc.

I haven't bought any (yet) but saw some on a car in the workshop last month and I thought they looked really good. Freshens up the rear but still looks OEM.

The ones PS and D911 sell (Rottec) look too aftermarket and Halfords to me!

Yep - I thought it was a bit weird that they would work on the Turbo but not C4S (so they do fit wide bodied cars) but the chap at Dectane said it was electronic issues... although, I can't imagine why it would work on every 997 model apart from the C4S. I'd be very surprised if Porsche used a different wiring loom / control in the C4S in comparison to the rest of the range...

Not lit up but still.... gratuitous other shots too, show the LED lights at front & gen 2 wheels, all in the whole lot cost me £2k for the facelift. Not worth the extra £1000's for the bumper mods in my opinion, oh and those grilles are a £200 way of mitigating a £1000+ radiator replacement bill too based on my 2 previous Porsches

Looks good, you may have had to spend 2K but you'll recoup a significant chunk when selling the car with these mods.

got round to fitting these dectane rear l.e.d lights today i must say they are quality although i have neaver seen any other makes. Come complete with relays which just plug into the new light loom and your done. A quick new look thats better when lights are of or on also replaced number plate lights at same time to l.e.d to complete the look will do some photos when possible
