I am looking at this fine piece of French engineering for a friend of mime, it is a 2006 2ltr HDI engine code RHR with Siemens injectors.
The car starts quickly from cold but runs rough like it is off one cylinder, it appeared to be not firing on no2 cylinder and was some blue smoke from the exhaust.
I sent the injector away and it was repaired, refitted the injector and it was no better so I left the car with the specialist for investigation.
They had it for a week and could not find the cause saying it may need all the injectors changed.
I have not carried out a compression test but when it is cranking it sounds fine, I know this is not a definitive test of the compression but the glow plugs are buried down the back and not easy to access.
I am not confident the specialist could check the injectors fully so I may send them away for a second opinion.
Anything else I should be looking at?.
Sorry for the long post.
Steve.

Normally a very stronhpg engine, why don't you swop the injectors around and see if the misfire moves, obviously if it does it is the injector, if not it's a compression issue or wiring fault.

Hi Carl,
Checked injectors in live data and #1 was 180%, 2&3 were about 100%, #4 was at 68%. I swapped 1 with 4 and the figures swapped with the injectors so I am fairly sure it is a injector problem, (now in #4 cylinder).
Talked with the diesel specialist and the took the car in to re-check the injectors, they say there is no fault with the injectors and it may need a software update for the ECU?.
I will try to get hold of a known good injector to swap with the suspect one.
Confidence in the diesel chaps is definitely going south!.
Steve.

Hi Carl, I think it is RHR engine code.
The car is at the dealers and they said injector so a new injector is ordered and will be here on Tuesday so I will find out one way or the other.
