As opposed to Veyron and Apollo, or the equally uninventive F1, F40, F50 and Enzo, Carrera GT?

Miura, Countach?

Nothing unusual is going on.

Isn't Veneno named after a fighting bull? Like the other modern Lamborghini names.

Huayra - God of wind, which has hypercar overtones such as aero and speed.

La Ferrari I'm guessing was called that in a sort of 'The Ferrari to end all Ferraris' type of thing.

I think they're fairly well named, or have I missed the point of your post?

Just to add, as opposed to some, I think MP4-12C is a great name, with relations to the codenames of their F1 cars and is very technical and precise which is pretty much exactly how the car is marketed.

I wondered if this was a stupid thread when I started it... laugh

I'm going to go away and figure out how to explain my thinking.
